Many people consider Ohio as one of the most beautiful places in the world. The most visited destinations in the state are the sandy shores of the Lake Erie Islands with a wide range of recreational activities including boating, fishing, swimming, as well as numerous historical sites and nature areas. Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus are the three highly industrialized urban centers, while the family farms and small towns of Middle America offer a contrast to Ohio's big city life. Don’t miss the amusement parks renowned for their bigger than life roller coasters, like Cedar Point in Sandusky North Ohio and Paramount's Kings Island near Cincinnati. The Hocking Hills region is an idyllic place to enjoy nature's beauty. Hike or drive through this rugged terrain, sculpted out of rock by a prehistoric glacier, and wonder at the lush vegetation, transformed rich red and amber in autumn.
